Most of us lead double lives--our physical existence, and the world of sleeping and dreaming. Each night our spirit visits other dimensions, going forward in time to observe and understand future events, rehearse, test out, and meet with past and future friends, relatives, children, and co-workers, to work through our fears, issues, roadblocks and insecurities.

We spend one third of our life sleeping and nearly two hours dreaming every single night. Dreams are free nightly therapy given by the wisdom of our spirit. Sleeping and dreaming are absolutely essential to our physical and emotional well being. Although a human being can survive roughly six weeks without food, if we went two weeks without sleeping and dreaming at all, we simply wouldn’t survive. Every ancient culture understood the sacredness of dreams; it’s only in the last 400 years that dreams have not been used as sources of insight, balance, comfort and faith. But we never stopped dreaming!

Dreams are the scripts or sacred movies leading us toward personal greatness. Through dreams we learn to become masters of our destiny rather than victims of life. If we all heeded dreams the world would truly be a kinder, gentler place.
