In this yoga download, Sandy Blaine discusses the health issues associated with a computer-centric lifestyle and how to easily ameliorate them using yoga.  Increasing hours spent at the computer for both work and entertainment make for more time spent slumped in a chair -- and ever more hand, wrist, neck, shoulder and back problems. Yoga can help stem an epidemic of musculo-skeletal injuries by offering a program of preventive self-care, using simple but effective exercises to help people learn how to support and maintain healthy posture, relieve neck and shoulder tension, and help prevent RSIs (repetitive strain injuries) such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tendonitis.

Sandy's program can be practiced regardless of age or yoga experience.  Many of the exercises are designed to be done right at a desk.  This class is based on Sandy's book, Yoga for Computer Users, which she developed to help bring yoga into the workplace and appeal to people who wouldn't be inclined to attend a yoga class. In her class, she addresses how to work with the non-yogi population on stretching, healthy posture and using the principles of yoga for general well-being outside of traditional yoga classes and practice.
