The Art of Being – Yoga as a Psychospiritual Practice

Healthy Aging

In this two-part teleclass, Judith Hanson Lasater shares her unique and deep insights into the philosophy and practice of yoga. This audio teleclass focuses on two related topics relevant to anyone practicing yoga, whether beginner, advanced practitioner or yoga teacher.

The practice of yoga is a profound and demanding one, because it asks us to look long and hard at who we are, how our beliefs keep us from knowing ourselves, as well as what our practice intention might be.

The deepest aspect of the practice of yoga is based on an ancient “map” of the human brain, personality and consciousness. But how does that relate to us in the modern era? Based on key concepts of yoga philosophy, this teleclass will explain how those concepts transform into the psychology of self-understanding and joy.

This course also Includes:

  • Recordings of Both Sessions – Yours to keep. It’s generally acknowledged that many people only retain 10-20 percent of what they learn in a workshop. You will get the recordings of both teleclass sessions enabling you to go back and listen to the workshop as many times as you like.
  • Transcripts of Both Sessions – Ever wanted to refer to a certain part of a course? Even the best note takers miss a point ever so often. With the transcripts of the sessions, you can go back and refer to particularly important passages or clarify sections you were in doubt about.
The practice of yoga is fundamentally an act of kindness toward oneself. This idea is often forgotten, but not by Judith, whose approach is warm, non-judgmental and responsive to individual differences and needs.
