In this immersive livestream yoga course, you’ll discover the secret to regulating your emotions, relieving anxiety, and fostering resilience from trauma. Through a series of highly targeted exercises and insights, you’ll gain the tools you need to process and manage stress more effectively, release stored emotions, and begin living with intention and peace.

Whether you’re seeking to heal from past trauma, alleviate chronic stress, or simply enhance your overall well-being, this course is designed to help you achieve lasting balance and vitality.

In this course, you will learn techniques for vagal toning, which add a gentle stimulation to the vagus nerve pathway through breath, sound, eye movements, self-applied touch, and gentle movements that help you come into balance.

Research shows that vagal toning has benefits for our emotional, mental, and physical health. It is especially important for any imbalance in the autonomic nervous system caused by stress, trauma, or chronic illness.

When we look at the root cause of many physical and mental health symptoms, we recognize that they all come from a common source: dysregulation of your autonomic nervous system.

Learn how to compassionately support your growth by enhancing the health of the autonomic nervous system. The techniques you will learn in this course will help cultivate a felt sense of ease and enhance your capacity to handle challenges with equanimity and recover from stress swiftly and efficiently.

At its core, therapeutic yoga bridges a path of healing between the psyche and the body. It allows you to attend to the interrelationships between mind, emotions, physiology, and behavior while inviting you recognize the inherent wholeness that resides within your spirit.

Dr. Arielle Schwartz brings over twenty years of experience as a trained somatic psychotherapist, trauma treatment expert, and yoga instructor. Through the lens of polyvagal theory, you will learn how the vagus nerve is a bidirectional information highway between mind and body. More importantly, you will learn to fine-tune mental and physical health with breath, movement, and awareness practices.

Session #1: Discover
This class emphasizes yoga practices that invite you to notice the cues within your body and mind that provide you with feedback about your current nervous system state. Together, we will practice basic vagal toning exercises that can easily be integrated into any yoga class. Experientially, we will explore the vagus nerve as it travels through your body and build your capacity for balance with conscious breathing, self-applied touch, and gentle movements.

Session #2: Center & Balance
In this session, we will deepen our exploration of yoga practices that help you access a greater sense of safety and connection in the here-or-now. We will focus on interoceptive sensing of the body and dive into a wider range of conscious breathing and vagal toning practices that allow you to adjust your physiological state, which enhances your capacity to respond to challenging or potentially destabilizing situations. These strategies aim to enhance both psychological and physiological resilience.

Session #3: Energize & Empower
This session offers yogic movement and breath practices that are enlivening, empowering, playful, and strengthening. These practices encourage short bursts of elevated heart rate and respiration with phases of active recovery to increase vagal efficiency and nervous system health.

Session #4 Rest & Restore
In our final session, we will integrate the material from the previous sessions, followed by an opportunity to restore your body through a yoga nidra practice focusing on the vagus nerve. You are invited to access and receive the benefits from a calm and relaxed nervous system held within a felt sense of deep connection with your Self.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn powerful techniques to support nervous system functioning and unlock your body’s innate capacity for healing. Join us now to embark on a life-changing journey towards greater emotional regulation, reduced muscle pain, better sleep, and a more radiant, relaxed state of being.
