Session 2. Julie Gudmestad: Yoga and the American Body – It’s Not One Size Fits All

The typical American body has several common key limitations, which often make it hard for people to take up yoga.

And while yoga can be a great way to help overcome these conditions, if yoga students suffer from any of them and aren’t taught correctly, it could also predispose students to injury. By tailoring your teaching to address these challenges safely and effectively, you’ll meet the needs of a much wider variety of students not commonly served by yoga studios. In this important talk, Iyengar teacher and physical therapist Julie Gudmestad shares key insights into what to look out for, and which precautions to take to avoid injury.

Reminder: If you’d like to have access to this session and all others (along with your bonuses) in one place, you can register for your Course Dashboad here. (It’s free – we don’t like having to sift through emails either.)
