Question: Can I earn Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits through the yoga downloads I purchase?

Answer: Yes, our online yoga courses qualify for Continuing Education credits on a 1:1 basis, as long as the topic falls within the Yoga Alliance Educational Categories and the teacher meets the criteria for a qualified Continuing Education (CE) provider. To be a qualified Continuing Education (CE) Provider teachers must be either a) an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT®) of any level currently registered with Yoga Alliance; or b) someone with a relevant degree or certification, or substantial education in an area of expertise that is related to one of the Yoga Alliance Educational Categories. Generally speaking, all the teachers at YogaUOnline teaching courses related to the teaching of yoga fall within one of these two criteria. But if you are in doubt about a certain teacher, check with Yoga Alliance.

Yoga Alliance requires Registered Yoga Teachers to take at least 30 hours of continuing yoga education every three years to continue to fulfill the RYT requirements. Of these, 20 hours can be non-contact hours, such as taking an online yoga course, participating in a yoga teleclass or webinar, or listening to online yoga downloads. Each 60 minutes (1 hour) of non-contact time counts as one hour of Continuing Education Credit. Teleclasses offered by Yoga U Online are approximately one hour long, therefore they are equal to 1 of one (1)  CEU credit.

Non-contact continuing education with Yoga Alliance is based on the honor system, so it is sufficient to make a list of the Yoga U classes you have purchased and listened to, along with the length of each. For extra documentation, you can refer to your receipts from your purchases, or you can go to the File Download section in your Yoga U account where your purchased files are stored and then simply create a screen copy which will document that you purchased the files.

See here for more information about the Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Standards.

Question: Where do I find a record of the online yoga classes I have purchased through Yoga U Online?

Answer: Your purchase receipt contains the information about the Yoga Alliance Credits. Simply submit this information when you submit your Continuing Ed hours to Yoga Alliance. If you haven’t kept the receipts from past purchases, these can be accessed in the My Account section (you can find the link in the upper right part of the Yoga U store pages). Simply log in, and you will find a full record of invoices from past purchases, which can be used to document the Continuing Education hours earned from your yoga downloads.

Question:  One of the files I'm trying to purchase shows up in my cart twice. How can I remove one of them?

Answer: There are two ways to remove an extra file from the shopping cart:

1) Change the number in the Quantity box from 2 to 1 and then click Update Cart.

2) Check the box in the left column where it says Remove File, and then click the Update Cart button. This will remove that file completely from the Shopping Cart.

Question: I don't have a Paypal account and want to pay by credit card. How do I do that?

Answer: You can pay with credit card through Paypal; you don't have to have a Paypal account. When you get to the Paypal login screen after the Order Review, simply choose the option to Pay with Debit or Credit Card. That will take you to a page where you can enter your credit card information.

Question: If I can't attend the live teleclass, is there a way to listen to the class afterwards?

Answer: Yes, the recording of the class will be available for a day or two after the class, so people can review it or listen to it for the first time.

Question: I forgot my password and tried to reset it, but I didn't receive an email with the password reset. What gives?

Answer: Check your spam filter. The system automatically sends out an email with the password reset when you enter your email address, however, it unfortunately sometimes gets caught in the spam filter. If you don't hear back from us, send an email to yogauonline@gmail.com

Question: Can I use Skype to listen in to your live teleclasses?

Answer: Yes. When you sign up for the teleclass, you'll receive call-in instructions, which include information about how to call in with Skype. However, if the presentation includes visuals, you won't see the slides.
