When you wake up in the morning, how do you feel?

Do you feel refreshed and energized, ready to start your day? Or do you feel drained and want to keep hitting the snooze button?

And, at the end of the day – do you feel balanced and relaxed or depleted and overwhelmed?

Everything that we do in our daily lives affects our body’s energy balance. Think of it as a bank account. Some things act as deposits toward our body’s energy budget, and some act as withdrawals.

Everything you do or experience during your day is either a deposit toward the body budget or a withdrawal.

Your body is very sensitive about the budget going both too low and too high, and a negative energy balance affects us in numerous ways.  Here is a quick summary of how a chronically unbalanced body budget affects your life daily:

Your body’s internal state directly affects how you feel daily. A negative energy balance stresses your physiological systems and makes you more vulnerable to disease.

But not only that. Your body balance directly affects how you function, feel, and think. It affects your perception of the world around you and how you interpret things that happen in your life.

When your body budget is balanced, the world seems sunnier, food tastes better, people are friendlier, body aches are not bothersome, and things are generally looking up.

Conversely, when your body budget is out of balance, the world seems to conspire against you, nothing goes smoothly, people appear mean, and it feels as if nobody cares about you.

In other words, our moment-to-moment physiological state impacts every aspect of our life. Your perception of the external world depends entirely on the state of your inner physiological balance.

Fortunately, the yoga tradition contains numerous comprehensive strategies for managing your body budget and facilitating deposits and withdrawals from the system (as necessary).

In this online course, senior yoga therapist Olga Kabel will introduce you to the essential yogic model for managing the balance of your body budget. Learn how simple and subtle changes you implement for your yoga classes and private sessions can shift the energetic tone of your yoga practice and restore greater balance to your nervous system.

Olga will show how yoga can help you move toward a more pleasant state and closer to balance between the hyper-aroused and hypo-aroused states. Learn how different types of yoga practices can stimulate your energy and how some can be used for unwinding.

Also, learn why breath is the most effective tool to regulate your inner budget and simple breathing techniques that you can use to stimulate your system or purge excess jittery energy.

What You Will Learn

  • What kind of asana, breathing, and sound practices are appropriate for the hypo-aroused states when your system is weak and depleted
  • What kind of asana, breathing, and sound practices are appropriate for the hyper-aroused states when there is too much agitation in the system
  • How we can maximize the effect of these practices to improve sleep, reduce stress, and manage energy
  • How we can use these practices to affect our nervous system and other physiological systems in the body
  • How we can adapt these practices to different situations, conditions, and purposes

Breathing is life. Yet, few of us pay close attention to our breath in our daily lives or in our yoga practice.

When we consciously connect with our breath and explore various yogic breathing techniques, we can unlock a world of benefits. From reducing stress to improving focus, yogic breathwork is one of the most powerful (yet underutilized) tools for enhancing well-being.

In this 4-part Wellness Yoga practice course with yoga therapist Olga Kabel, learn how to renew your vitality and find balance from within by integrating yogic breathing techniques into your practice and life.

True yoga goes beyond physical postures, notes Olga. It is a pathway to a deeper understanding of who we are and the mechanics of staying healthy and vital. Through breath, we can achieve a union between body, mind, and spirit.

Join us for a journey to tap into your inner wisdom and use your breath as a compass to guide you there. When we bring awareness to the breath and explore various yogic breathing techniques, we can unlock a world of benefits for both body and mind.

Conscious, intentional breathing has been shown to reduce stress, increase energy, improve cardiovascular health, boost immunity, enhance focus, and induce a state of calm presence. We can also regulate our emotional states and nervous system by regulating our breathing. The breath is a powerful tool for achieving inner balance and vitality.

Starting a routine of conscious breathwork takes patience and an openness to slow down and tune into subtle sensations in the body. And above all, it takes an experienced guide who can take you each step of the way.

In this 4-part course, you’ll embark on a journey to transform your relationship with your breath. You’ll learn foundational yogic breathing techniques and explore how to integrate breathwork into yoga sequences and daily routines. Each session will provide you with more tools to unlock the immense power of conscious breathing for improved health, performance, and inner peace.

While connecting to the breath may sound simple, it requires training and dedication to implement safely and effectively. Each 75-minute session builds upon the last, taking you from breath basics to more advanced practices at a pace that allows integration.

In addition to breathwork, classes focus on fully embracing yoga’s mind-body connection. You’ll gain tools to turn inward, release distractions, and use your breath to anchor your awareness in the present moment.

Renew your vitality and find balance from within through this comprehensive 4-part course on yogic breathing techniques. Join us to start utilizing your breath as a gateway to vitality and inner balance in your yoga practice and in daily life. In the course practices you will:

  1. Exercise your diaphragm
  2. Optimize your breath cycle
  3. Manage your energy
  4. Integrate your right and left brain hemispheres

I wanted to expand on my thank you. Yoga U Online has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I moved from a yoga mecca to a yoga desert. Instead of having my choice of teachers and styles and special workshops, I now have to travel an hour to take a class. The excellent teachers and interesting topics at Yoga U Online have kept me moving ahead in my practice. I am grateful for all the wonderful yoga you bring to me. Thank you.
