WELLNESS YOGA

We live longer than ever before, but this can be a mixed blessing if we don’t take steps early to prevent the most common issues affecting us as we reach the other side of 60 : The chronic pain and disability the often accompanies musculoskeletal aging.

Musculoskeletal disorders are the leading cause of disability in the United States and they account for more than one-half of all chronic conditions in people older than age 50 years.

Beyond the statistics, the human toll is great: What could have been our golden years enjoying more time with family and friends for many people become a time struggling with increasing loss of mobility, growing pain and the gradual loss of independence and freedom.

Fortunately, there are many things we can do to stack the odds in our favor and help prevent the musculoskeletal deterioration that precedes chronic pain and disability.

In this free download, yoga therapist Lynn Crimando talks about neuromuscular aging and why it’s so important to retain the overall integration, coordination and youthfulness of the neuromuscular system.

Learn:
