In this class, Cyndi explores the benefits of twists. Twists loosen up the muscles around the spine and neck and can be useful to relieve stiffness from too much sitting. They also have a detoxifying effect, because they help increase blood flow to the body. In addition, in a deeper sense, twisting is about untying the knots that bind us: the negative tendencies or habitual patterns that we’re stuck in.

Slow Yoga: Supine Twisting Practice for Deep Relaxation

A gentle practice designed to help you slow down, and to move mindfully through a series of gentle movements and supine twists. Bring a yoga strap!

Forward Bending to Free the Back Body

Release the back body and find greater ease in this gentle class designed to lengthen the hamstrings, side-waist, and lower back. Utilizing many gentle forward bends, this class will help facilitate the parasympathetic response – the wonderful “rest and digest” functioning in the nervous system, leaving you feeling refreshed, rested, and ready for your day (or a good night of sleep!)
