A Wise Woman’s Guide to Rebranding Middle Age – Introducing the “In-Between”

Better Sleep

As we enter the second half of our lives, do we have to accept the stereotype of aging that society and media tend to perpetuate? Or, is there a whole other approach to redefine aging, or ‘rebrand’ middle age so to speak?

In this course, we will explore our preconceived notions of middle age and aging, and the degree to which these serve us or represent unconscious patterns and values we have absorbed from our youth-obsessed culture.

Change is a primary factor between the ages of 40-60, and while many people put their yoga practice aside as they get older, this is exactly when we need to practice. It is also when confusion and fear can drag us into unhelpful patterns such as over-eating, over-shopping, or even over-exercising. Anything to avoid being present with ourselves.

Cyndi will introduce the “In-Between” in Buddhist terms and share her own love story, inspiring you to open to change, and find appreciation for your maturing sensuality, elegance, fierceness and wisdom.

The class includes asana practice to help you make friends with your body right now, journaling to get familiar with your hopes and fears, and meditation to cultivate lovingkindness for yourself. Bring a journal and pencil and willingness to share and explore!

This Course Also Includes:

  • Yoga Practice Video: Enjoy a 30 minute Morning Yoga Practice with Cyndi.
  • Recordings of Both Sessions: Yours to keep. It’s generally acknowledged that many people only retain 10-20 percent of what they learn in a workshop. You will get the recordings of both sessions (MP3 & MP4), enabling you to go back and listen to the workshop as many times as you like.
  • Transcripts of Both Sessions: Ever wanted to refer to a certain part of a course? Even the best note takers miss a point every so often. With the transcripts of the sessions, you can go back and refer to particularly important passages or clarify sections you were in doubt about.
This course qualifies for 2.5 CEs with Yoga Alliance.

I wanted to expand on my thank you. Yoga U Online has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I moved from a yoga mecca to a yoga desert. Instead of having my choice of teachers and styles and special workshops, I now have to travel an hour to take a class. The excellent teachers and interesting topics at Yoga U Online have kept me moving ahead in my practice. I am grateful for all the wonderful yoga you bring to me. Thank you.
