In the last decade, an increasing amount of research attention has focused on the benefits of interoception, i.e. our ability to perceive what’s going on inside our body.
People with strong interoception are able to notice and connect with bodily sensations linked to emotions, signals of hunger and thirst, and even intuitive hunches.
Because interoception connects us profoundly with the body and the minute-to-minute state of the nervous system, it is a key to developing the self-regulation skills needed to manage stress, retain healthy self-care habits, and deal effectively with challenging situations.
In this course, yoga therapist Robin Rothenberg shows how yoga can help us enhance our interoceptive abilities. Learn how to slow down practice and adapt an interoceptive mindful practice coordinated with breath. Deepen your experience by allowing time for internal assessment, assimilation, and refinement. In the process, you will begin to sharpen your interoceptive abilities by developing a deeper relationship with the felt sense of your body. Robin brings her expertise, accrued over 30 years of working as a yoga therapist and training teachers in the art of adaptation, to share with the YogaUOnline community.
This Course also Includes:
