Yoga for Stress Resilience: The Role of the Vagus Nerve in Downregulating the Nervous System

With our current state of the world, it seems that there are fewer opportunities to recover from stress. This may be leaving us in states of chronic stress which can affect our health and wellbeing. Now more than never, it is important for us to take action to build in patterns to help us discharge stress and foster resilience. 

In this course, Dr. Shailla Vaidya, Family Physician and Yoga therapist, will help you understand how stress manifests within yourself. Dr. Vaidya will highlight simple strategies based in yoga, including mindfulness and self-compassion which can be practiced in moments of stress to promote resilience within yourself and help us work to build healthier communities.

This course will combine the science of stress physiology with the philosophy and practice of yoga to help you better cope with stress and build a healthier life.
