Yoga for Everyone: An Inclusive, Progressive, and Accessible Way to Teach and Practice Yoga

An introduction to creating Inclusive, Diverse and Accessible Yoga practice for everyone. 

We will be exploring ways to engage diverse communities into current yoga spaces as well as creating dynamic yoga classes for larger and non-conforming bodies. 

Let's explore together how the movement of dynamic asana flow and sequencing can empower students with all kinds of abilities. 

The human body is designed to ebb and flow with breath and circumstance. The lessons we learn about our bodies on the mat can be empowering in our lives and help us be more accepting of our bodies. We learn about our own personal power through breath and movement. 

This course will primarily focus on students in larger bodies, beginners, and students with mobility considerations. Together we will explore variations and modifications of classic yoga poses and create a dynamic flow that includes lots of options for self-exploration and growth. 

We will also investigate creative, innovative, and functional ways to use props in a dynamic and accessible flow.

  • Sun salutation/vinyasa variations 

  • Variations of common classic yoga poses
